The project - Seven Generations:
Wyandot of Anderdon Nation Cultural Awareness, Revitalization, and Preservation Project has a long-term community goal for all Wyandot of Anderdon Nation Tribal Citizens to embrace their history, culture, and language and represent the Tribe and its historial interested to outside organization.
The project goal is to build the capacity and capability of the tribe to better steward and communicate tribal language, culture, and history through cultural programming and historical document collection in order to ensure the project objective.
Position Description - Administrative Assistant
Summary:
The Administrative Assistant is a part-time position in the Wyandot of Anderdon Nation ANA Project Office.
Job responsibilities include providing administrative support, volunteer direction, organization, communications, and a variety of additional tasks as assigned.
Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material.
S/he will report to the Project Director and work with other staff as needed.

Responsibilities:
Assist Project Director in Grant Administration duties Manage and conduct administrative duties of the Tribal Office Attend all training associated with the project Work with Tribal Citizens, Family History Specialist, Collections Specialist, Archive Specialist, and Project Volunteers to ensure all relevant project data is collected Complete any other work tasks as assigned Position Requirements:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; and 3 years professional experience Ability to communicate in writing and verbally with the Tribal Council, Tribal Institutions, Program Office Staff, and Tribal Citizens Ability to work well with others including staff, governmental, and institutional representatives, tribal volunteers, and the public Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Any combination of experience, education, or training that would support the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is also qualifying Working Conditions:
This is an office position.
The candidate would on occasion be expected to meet staff and/or community members to review documents and attend training opportunities.
Physical Requirements:
The candidate must be able to sit for long periods, work at a computer and lift file boxes weighing up to 25 lbs.
